1. Qualifing Person
1.1 WOW Competitions (‘Promoter’, ‘our(s)’) operate competitions –
skilled prize competitions resulting in the allocation of prizes in accordance
with these Terms and Conditions on the website wow-competitions.com (the
‘Website’) – (the ‘Competition(s)’).
1.2 The Competitions are open to all persons aged 18 and over and the
age of majority in their country of residence excluding the Promoter’s
employees or members of their immediate family, agents or any other person who
is connected with the creation or administration of our Competitions.
2. Legal Undertaking
2.1 By entering a Competition the entrant (‘Entrant’, ‘you’, ‘your(s)’)
will be deemed to have legal capacity to do so, you will have read and
understood these Terms and Conditions and you will be bound by them and by any
other requirements set out in any related promotional material.
2.2 These Competitions are governed by English Law and any matters
relating to the Competition will be resolved under English Law and the Courts
of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
2.3 In the event that you participate in a Competition online via the
Website, and by accepting these Terms and Conditions you confirm that you are
not breaching any laws in your country of residence regarding the legality of
entering our Competitions. The Promoter will not be held responsible for any
Entrant entering any of our Competitions unlawfully. If in any doubt you should
immediately leave the Website and check with the relevant authorities in your
country.
3. Competition Entry
3.1 These Competitions may be entered online via the Website. Multiple
Competitions may be open at the same time by the Promoter of which each
Competition will have specific prizes.
3.2 Availability and pricing of Competitions is at the discretion of the
Promoter and will be specified at the point of sale on the Website.
4. “Your WOW Competitions Account(s)
4.1In order to enter a Competition, you will need to register an account
with us. You can register an account online at http://wow-competitions.com
4.2 To register an account online you will be asked to provide an email
address or sign in via Facebook or Google (‘Social Media Account’)
4.3 Please note that your email address or Social Media Account will
also be the username that you use to login to your account. Each account can
only have one username attributed to it at any given time (“WOW
Competitions Account”). Therefore, you cannot attribute multiple email
addresses, or Social Media Accounts to your WOW Competitions Account. For
example:
4.3.1 You cannot have an email address and a Social Media Account
attributed to your WOW Competitions Account.
4.3.2 You cannot have two or more email addresses attributed to your WOW
Competitions Account.
You can, however, change your username for your WOW Competitions Account
by logging into your WOW Competitions Account. For example, you can create your
WOW Competitions Account using one email address and at a later date change
your username for your WOW Competitions Account to another email address.
However, if you create multiple accounts using different email addresses or
Social Media Accounts, each username will be treated as a separate WOW
Competitions Account.
4.4 When playing a Competition online via the Website, follow the
on-screen instructions to:
4.4.1 select the Competition(s) you wish to enter and play the
Competition (s)
4.4.2 and when you are ready to purchase your Ticket(s), note that
the volume of tickets you can purchase is limited to the number of entries per
transaction specified on each competition, provide your contact and payment
details. You will need to check your details carefully.
4.4.3 once your payment has cleared we will email you to confirm
your entry into the Competition. Please note that when entering online you will
not be deemed entered into the Competition until we confirm your Ticket(s)
order back to you by email.
4.5 The Promoter reserves the right to refuse or disqualify any
incomplete Entries if it has reasonable grounds for believing that an Entrant
has contravened any of these Terms and Conditions.
4.6 To the extent permitted by applicable law, all Entries become our
property and will not be returned.
5. The “WOW Club”
5.1 A WOW Club subscription costs the amount(s) set out on the Website
this may change from time to time, and if you would like to purchase a WOW Club
subscription, you can do so through the Website.
6. The “WOW Competitions Club”
6.1 A WOW Competitions Club subscription costs the amount set out on the
Website this may change from time to time at the Promoters discretion, and if
you would like to purchase a WOW Competitions Club subscription, you can do so
through the Website.
6.2 If your WOW Competitions Club subscription should be cancelled for
any reason your new subscription cost will be decided by WOW Competitions Ltd.
at their discretion.
7. The “WOW Club” requirements
7.1 The Promoter reserves the right to refuse registration for any
reason whatsoever at its sole and absolute discretion (including, without
limitation, a person applying to become an WOW Club member not satisfying the
requirements set out in rule 7.2 below).
7.2 A person applying to become a WOW Club member must satisfy the
following requirements:
7.2 (i) the person’s direct debit must come from an authorised bank,
7.2 (ii) the person must be 18 or over;
7.2 (iii) must supply their debit card details which must be linked to a
bank account (or building society) that is based in Great Britain for which
they are an authorised user and must also be linked to an address in Great
Britain. This bank or building society account must not be a joint account and
must be held in the applicant’s own name;
7.2 (iv) the bank (or building society) card referred to in (c) above
must not have been reported as lost or stolen and cannot be used to open any
more than one WOW Club member account; and
7.2 (v) the bank (or building society) card referred to in (c) above
must bear the applicant’s name and match the applicant’s details supplied
including (without limitation) the applicant’s billing address etc.
7.3 By signing up for a WOW Club subscription, you hereby authorise the
Promoter to collect payment of the subscription fee from your nominated bank
account (or building society) until this authorisation is revoked. Subscription
payments will be taken from the nominated bank (or building society) account on
a monthly basis. Collected payments from your nominated bank (or building society)
account entitle you to enter into the applicable upcoming monthly draws
following the collected payment.
7.4 When signing up for a WOW Club subscription, you will need to
provide the Promoter with valid payment details including, where appropriate,
your instruction to a nominated bank (or building society) to pay the
subscription fee by direct debit. The Direct Debit Guarantee applies to all
Direct Debit arrangements set up by you. You can cancel your subscription by
visiting “Your Account” section on the website.
7.5 You must keep the information and details (including, without
limitation payment details) you provide to us current and up to date throughout
the duration of your WOW Club membership.
8. WOW Club Payments
8.1 At the point of sign up, you will be informed when the first payment
of the subscription fee will be taken, which may be immediate. Thereafter, the
first attempt to obtain payment each month will be on or around the date you
signed up, unless otherwise communicated to you by the Promoter.
It is your responsibility to ensure that there are sufficient funds in
your nominated bank account (or building society) on the applicable date. If
there are insufficient funds, your nominated bank (or building society) may
impose a penalty charge for the collection and the Promoter may be unable to
collect payment and you will not be able to enter into applicable upcoming
monthly draws.
The Promoter is not responsible for additional transaction charges
imposed on you from your nominated bank (or building society).
8.2 The Promoter accepts no responsibility and will have no liability
for any act or omission of any bank (or building society) chargebacks,
disputes, indemnities and/or failures to implement direct debits or otherwise
to act on your instructions.
8.3 If the Promoter is unable to collect your payment on the applicable
collection date, the Promoter may, but has no obligation to, make up to 3
further attempts to collect your payment. You will not be entered into a
month’s draw(s) unless the Promoter has received all amounts payable for the
subscription in cleared funds for that month.
The Promoter accepts no responsibility and will have no liability for
any loss and/or damage caused as a result of you not being entered into a
month’s draws in circumstances where the Promoter has sought payment from your
nominated bank (or building society) account and the nominated bank (or
building society) did not make payment.
8.4 Any change to the details provided to the Promoter in the course of
registration should be made under the “Your Account” section of the website. If
you wish to change the nominated bank (or building society) specified in your
registration, you will need to complete a new direct debit instruction.
8.5 You can terminate your subscription at any time by visiting “Your
Account” section of the website and providing 30 days’ notice. The Promoter
reserves the right to terminate or suspend a monthly subscription at any time
and for any reason whatsoever at its sole and absolute discretion (although
this will not affect the results of any monthly draws that you have been
entered into).
8.6 With effect from receipt of notice of termination, the Promoter will
make one further payment request to your nominated bank (or building society).
9. Refer a Friend Programme
9.1 The Refer a Friend Programme is operated in good faith to reward
customers for referring genuine friends and acquaintances as new customers to
the Promoter. Referrals are limited to 100 per customer per day. Abuse of this
system will not be tolerated and if the Promoter has reasonable grounds to
believe that new users are not genuine individuals it reserves the right at its
sole discretion to void any orders and/or WOW Competitions Club Credit earned
as a result of the scheme, and to disqualify such individual as a Prize Winner.
9.2 The referee must be a Y-Club member and they will receive their £10
credit for each successful referral 7 days after the referred joins and does
not cancel their membership.
9.3 The referred will receive their additional £10 credit after their
second payment is taken.
9.4 The same person cannot be referred more than once.
10. Promotion Periods
10.1 Each Competition will run for a specified period. Please see each
Competition for details of start and end times and dates (‘Promotion
Period(s)’).
11. Competition Judgement
11.1 WOW Competitions, will run all competition draws live via Facebook
using Google’s Random Number Generator or Lucky 52 Wheel or Bonus Ball Machine.
11.2 Due to the nature of the winning judgement there will only be one
winner per competition.
11.3 The Promoter will attempt to contact Winner(s) using the telephone
numbers and email address provided at the time of Entry (or as subsequently
updated) and held securely in our database. It is the Entrant’s sole
responsibility to check and update these details. If for any reason they are
taken down incorrectly, the Promoter will not be held responsible. Entrants
must carefully check their contact details have been recorded correctly.
11.4 If for any reason the Promoter is unable to contact a Winner within
5 days (which may be extended at the sole discretion of the Promoter) of the
end of a Competition or the Winner fails to confirm acceptance of the prize or
the Winner is disqualified as a result of contravening any of these terms and
conditions, the Winner will forfeit the prize and the prize will remain in the
procession and ownership of WOW Competitions.
11.5 In the event that the Promoter closes a Competition early, the
Winner will be selected from all valid and eligible Entries received by the
Promoter prior to the date of closure.
11.6 All Entrants are automatically entered onto the Promoter’s database
for the purpose of conveying information as to the status of their Competition,
as well as any future Promotions or Competitions offered by the Promoter.
11.7 If the competition is not sold out after the timer runs out, the
Draw will still go ahead regardless sellout.
12. Winner’s Details
12.1 The Winners will be required to send a copy of their passport or ID
Card to the Promoter to confirm their identity, age and also to prove that if
the purchase was made by credit card that the card was legally theirs or that
they had the authorisation to use it, before any prize will be paid or
delivered. Any failure to meet these obligations may result in the Winner being
disqualified and the Promoter choosing an alternate winner.
12.2 All Winners will also be required to provide photographs
and/or pose for photographs and videos, which may be used in future marketing
and public relations by the Promoter in connection with the Competition and in
identifying them as a winner of a Competition.
12.3 Following receipt and verification of the details requested
above by the Promoter, the Winners will be contacted in order to make
arrangements for delivery of the prize.
13. Competition Prizes
13.1 WOW Competitions prizes are determined, selected by the managing
directors of the company and are owned by the promoter from the date of the
competition going live on the website to the date that the winner receives the
prize. All prizes are picked and purchased by the promoter and in that case
this is the prize the winner will receive. Details of each prize can be found
on the website on the competitions pages. WOW Competitions take no
responsibility of the prize awarded after delivery, once the winner receives
the prize the promoter does not insure the prize. No insurance come with the
prizes and the promoter cannot be held responsible for the prize once handed
over to the winner. Please also note the following:
(a) During the course of a General Knowledge Competition, if due
to circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control, the Promoter is unable to
provide the stated Prize, the Promoter reserves the right to award a selection
of substitute Left and Right Hand Drive cars or prizes of equal or greater
value.
(b) On the brand new cars competitions If the Winner would like to
take a car, an order will be placed by the Promoter. Please note that if the
Winner decides to do this, delivery may take up to 12 months for certain cars
and cars will be ordered in basic specification. Bespoke options and upgrades
can be added at the Winner’s request but must be paid for by the Winner in
advance. The country where the ticket is purchased will determine whether the
car will be Left or Right Hand Drive (subject to manufacturer availability and
Terms and Conditions).
(c) In the UK the Prize will be delivered with UK VAT paid. In the
EU the Prize will be delivered with UK VAT paid but any further costs
(additional VAT/taxes/import duties/registration costs due in the
destination/country of final registration). The Cash Alternative is deemed
& published by the promotor at their discretion.will be the responsibility
of the Winner.
In all other countries the Prize will be shipped (net of all taxes) to
the nearest port and any applicable import duties, registration costs, or any
further taxes or duties of any nature due in the destination country will be
the responsibility of the Winner. The Promoter reserves the right not to
deliver to certain countries. Please note that all our cars are supplied in the
UK and therefore if exported may not be road legal in the destination country.
It is the Prize Winner’s responsibility to check this and choose an alternative
car or take the cash alternative if appropriate.
For the avoidance of doubt, the maximum value that The Promoter will be
liable to pay for or towards any prize is the UK RRP (or local currency
equivalent) of the prize as advertised on our website. WOW Competitions will
only transact with manufacturer recommended principal dealers.
(e) General Knowledge Competition Cash Alternative: Should a
General Knowledge Competition Winner not wish to take delivery of one of the
First Prizes (including cars or other items listed), the General Knowledge Cash
Alternative can be claimed
13.2 The promoter has a right to charge the winner delivery fees if they
want the prize delivered.
13.3 All entrant expenses are the sole responsibility of the Winners.
13.4 All prizes are subject to the terms and conditions of the prize
provider, manufacturer or supplier.
13.5 Each Prize must be accepted as awarded and is non-transferable or
convertible to other substitutes and cannot be used in conjunction with any
other vouchers, offers or discounts, including without limitation any vouchers
or offers of the Promoter or other prize suppliers.
14. Storage
13.1 The Promoter can store the chosen prize free of charge for 30 days
after notifying the Prize Winner, at the end of which time the First Prize will
be delivered to the Winner.
15. Winners’ Personal Data
15.1 Acceptance of the prize by the Winner will mean they are required
to have their photo and video taken by the Promoter for promotional purposes
(Public Relations and Marketing), both immediately after their win and in the
future for use in accordance with rule 12.2, unless prohibited by law.
15.2 By entering a Competition, you agree to the use of your name,
address, and/or photograph or other likeness, as well as your appearance at
publicity events without any additional compensation (save for reasonable
travel expenses) and as required by the Promoter if you are declared a Winner.
16. Limits of Liability
16.1 The Promoter makes no representations or warranties as to the
quality/suitability of any of the goods or services offered as prizes. Except
for liability for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the
Promoter, the Promoter shall not be liable for any loss suffered or sustained
to person or property including, but not limited to, consequential (including
economic) loss by reason of any act or omission by the Promoter, or its
servants or agents, in connection with the arrangement for supply, or the
supply, of any goods by any person to the prize Winner(s) and, where
applicable, to any family/persons accompanying the Winner(s), or in connection
with any of the Competitions promoted by the Promoter.
17. Electronic Communications
17.1 No responsibility will be accepted for failed, partial or garbled
computer transmissions, for any computer, telephone, cable, network, electronic
or internet hardware or software malfunctions, failures, connections,
availability, for the acts or omissions of any service provider, internet
accessibility or availability or for traffic congestion or unauthorised human
act, including any errors or mistakes. The Promoter shall use its best
endeavours to award the prize for a Competition to the correct Entrant. If due
to reasons of hardware, software or other computer related failure, or due to
human error the prize is awarded incorrectly, the Promoter reserves the right
to reclaim the Competition prize and award it to the correct Entrant, at its
sole discretion and without admission of liability.
17.2 The Promoter reserves the right at its sole discretion to extend
the closing date of any competition, if for any reason any aspect of the
competition is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of
infection by computer virus, network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised
intervention, fraud, technical failures or any cause beyond the control of the
Promoter which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness,
integrity or proper conduct of the Competition.
The Promoter may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or
suspend a Competition, or invalidate any affected entries. In the event that
the Promoter closes a Competition early, the Winner may be selected from all
valid and eligible Entries received by the Promoter prior to the date of
closure, except that the Promoter reserves the right, at its sole discretion,
to close a Competition early without selecting a Winner.
In the event that a Competition is closed without selecting a Winner,
the Promoter will give all entrants WOW Competitions credit to enable them to
replay equivalent tickets in a subsequent competition.
17.3 The Promoter shall not be liable for any economic or other
consequential loss suffered or sustained to any persons to whom an award has
been incorrectly made, and no compensation shall be due.
The Promoter shall use its best endeavours to ensure that the software
and website(s) used to operate its Competitions perform correctly and
accurately across the latest versions of popular internet, tablet and mobile
browsers. For the avoidance of doubt, only the ticket coordinates recorded in
our systems, howsoever displayed or calculated, shall be entered into the
relevant Competition and the Promoter shall not be held liable for any
competition entries that occur as a result of malfunctioning software or other
event. Competition coordinates may be checked at any time by accessing your
account at wow-competitions.com
18. Data Protection Notice
18.1 Any personal data that you supply to the Promoter or authorise the
Promoter to obtain from a third party, for example, a credit card company, will
be used by the Promoter to administer the Competition and fulfil prizes where
applicable.
In order to process, record and use your personal data the Promoter may
disclose it to
(i) any credit card company whose name you give;
(ii) any person to whom the Promoter proposes to transfer any of the
Promoter’s rights and/or responsibilities under any agreement the Promoter may
have with you;
(iii) any person to whom the Promoter proposes to transfer its business or
any part of it;
(iv) comply with any legal or regulatory requirement of the Promoter in
any country; and
(v) prevent, detect or prosecute fraud and other crime. In order to
process, use, record and disclose your personal data the Promoter may need to
transfer such information outside the United Kingdom, in which event the
Promoter is responsible for ensuring that your personal data continues to be
adequately protected during the course of such transfer.
19. Postal Entry Route:
If you wish to enter any of our competitions by post, then you must send
an unenclosed postcard via stamped post stating: Which competition you would
like to take part in, the answer to the question specific to that particular
competition along with your personal details as follows, One Entry per
Postcard;

Date of Birth,
Postal Address
Email address
One contact number.
Remember postcards must also contain the correct Answer to the question
for the competition desired.
All details must be either typed or clearly written, we cannot enter you
into a competition if the writing on your postcard is not legible. If we
receive 1 postcard in the post containing multiple entries this will not comply
with the above terms and conditions.

All postal entries must be received before the close of the competition,
any entries that fail to follow the criteria mentioned above will be void as
per any Entry received.
Entrants MUST have an active account on our website at the time the
postal entries are processed, all details on postcards MUST match the name and
address on the account to which they are to be added.
If we believe one person is attempting to enter using multiple names and
addresses all associated entries will be voided, as per the paid entry route.
